Cultural Days of Azerbaijan in Mexico

From 6 to 11 March the Days of the Culture of Azerbaijan, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Mexico and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan took place in Mexico.

For the first time in the history of the bilateral relations between the two countries, in the concert hall of the largest National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico, took place a Gala concert with the participation of artists of folk music, the State Dance Ensemble, young mugam performers, as well as the children's dancing group "Torch of the East".
A photo exhibition of the art gallery named after S. Bahlulzade opened in the central exposition hall of the Museum.

During the Days of Culture, jazz concerts performed by Isfar Sarabskiy and Emil Mammadov, as well as a show of traditional national women's clothes of Azerbaijan, made an unforgettable impression to guests invited to the event.

A concert of Azerbaijani dance groups and musicians also took place in one of the most prestigious universities of the country - the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico (UAEM) in the city of Toluca. Mayor of Toluca Maria Elena Barrera Tapia and Rector of the University Eduardo Gasca Pliego were among the guests.

During all these days of the Culture of Azerbaijan, in one of the central movie theaters of Mexico city - «Cinepolis Diana» documentaries and movies from the collection of the Fund of Azerbaijani cinematography were screened.

In the context of the Cultural Days of Azerbaijan, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev met with the Minister of Tourism Development Ernesto Rodriguez Escalona, of the state of Guerrero, in one of the largest tourist centers of the country - the city of Acapulco.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed plans for expanding and strengthening of the cooperation ties between both countries in the field of tourism.
